The YWCA is hosting a Virtual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes fundraiser throughout the month of November.
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is a chance to join other men as they raise funds and awareness about the tragedy of violence against women and girls in our community.
If you are interested in supporting this cause, here's what you have to do:
Register by contacting Nina Cordell at 204-778-1209, emailing womensprograms@ywca or by facebook messaging the YWCA Thompson Facebook pafe.
A pledge sheet and a pair of the signature red high heels will either be dropped off to you or you can pick them up so you can start seeking pledges from friends, family, etc.
Take a picture if yourself wearing the red shoes and send it to the YWCA along with a short caption explaining why you are supporting this cause. The YWCA will share that photo on social media to raise awareness.
In addition to you collecting pledges, the community is also able to make pledges straight to the YWCA on your behalf.
