YWCA is offering free training opportunities through their Steps to Success program. Steps to Success is offering a variety of courses throughout the month of November.

 

Microsoft Word: November 6th- November 9th, 10am- 12pm

Powerpoint: November 10th, 9am- 3pm

Excel: November 14th- November 17th, 10am- 12pm

Money Matters: November 21st & 22nd, 9am- 3pm

Learner's Permit Prep: November 27th- November 30th, 10am- 12:00pm

Thompson Public Library Craft Events

Dino-vember Events are taking place throughout the month of November at the Thompson Public Library! Come to the Thompson Public Library and enjoy all kinds of fun activities!

 

Every Tuesday, stop by the library around 11:15am for Storytime. Every Saturday except for Remembrance Day, the Library will be having Storytime starting at 10:30am and Pokemon card games starting at Noon.

 

A Stem Day event will take place on Wednesday, November 8th. Join them for an afternoon of coding and tie-dye making! This event is for ages 6 to 12. The coding will be from 4pm to 5pm and the tie dye will be from 5pm to 7pm.

 

A Winter Slime event will take place on Wednesday, November 15th starting at 4:30pm.  This event is for ages 6 to 12.

 

A Hatching Dinosaur craft event will take place on Wednesday, November 22nd starting at 4:30pm. The event is for ages 5 to 10.

 

A Dinosaur Feet craft event will take place on Saturday, November 25th starting at 4:30pm. This event is for ages 3 to 8.

 

A Snowflake craft event will take place on Wednesday, November 29th starting at 4:30pm. The event is for ages 6 and up.

Information Session of Tax Benefits, Credits & Scams

From 1:30PM to 2:30PM

There will be an Information session of Tax Benefits, Credits and Scams at the Ma-Mow-We-Tak Friendship centre board room on Wednesday, November 15th from 1:30pm to 2:30pm.

 

An Outreach officer from the Canada Revenue Agency will share information on how benefits are calculated, how and when you should apply for benefits, how different tax credits can be claimed and will answer any questions people may have on any of those topics.


Coffee, Tea and Snacks will be available for those who attend.
