The R.D Parker Music Department has a multitude of performances that they are participating in throughout the year.

 

The Grade 8 and 9 bands will be taking a trip down to Winnipeg to perform at the Optimist Music Festival in February 2024. Dates and location to be determined.

YWCA Steps to Success February Courses

YWCA is offering free training opportunities through their Steps to Success program. Steps to Success is offering a variety of courses throughout the month of February.

 

Safe Food Handling: February 1st or 14th, 9am- 3pm

Smart Choices- Responsibile Service Certification and/or Cannabis Retail Certification: February 2nd or 15th, 9am- 3pm

Responsibility in the Workplace  (Organization/Accountability/Meeting Expectation/Managing Risk/Quality Service): February 5th to 8th, 10am- 12pm

Proposal Writing: February 9th, 9am- 3pm

Word: February 12th, 10am- 12pm

Money Matters for Indigenous Peoples: Tuesdays, February 13th to March 12th, 1:30pm to 3pm at Burntwood School

Crooner`s Concert with Daylin James

The Thompson Seniors Community Resource Council is proud to present a Crooner's Concert with Daylin James, who was named the Canadian National & International Elvis Tribute Artist Grand Champion.

 

The concert will take place on Tuesday, February 13th at the Letkemann Theatre starting at 7pm. The first half of the concert will be a crooner's medley of Neil Diamond, Paul Anka, Tony Bennett, Tom Jones and others while the second half is the Return of Elvis with Daylin James.


There will be a door prize of a $100 gift certificate from The Hub for Valentine's Day dinner, a consolation prize of a gift basket of Godiva chocolates, and a 50/50 draw.
