The 4th Annual Rylen Solski Memorial Fishing Derby will be taking place from June 14th to June 23rd this year! The Derby will be raising money to help support research into Kawasaki Disease.
It's only 20 dollars to enter and since the derby is managed online, you can finish from anywhere in Manitoba! Just download the Fish Donkey app to register.
You can win cash of a wide range of other prizes this year including a 2-night stay at Baker Narrows Lodge, Winnipeg Blue Bomber tickets, camping and fishing gear, kayaks, paddleboards, gift cards and more.
All proceeds from the fishing derby are donated to Kawasaki Disease Canada for research into the childhood illness. If you wish to learn more, visit KDcanada.org.

Thompson Urban Aboriginal Strategy will be holding National Indigenous People's Day event at McLean Park at the City Hall on June 21st. The event will include free hot dogs, bouncy castles for the kids, cotton candy and arts & crafts tables.
The schedule is as follows:
4:45am: Sunrise ceremony outside the Vale office.

5pm: Master of Ceremonies- Duke Beardy
Opening Prayer & Opening Remakes followed by live entertainment by Gravel Roads Band

Teams must consist of one child, youth, adult and elder. Games are pass the orange relay, break balloon, balloon toss, and three legged races.
