The Thompson Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge is on now! From July 1st to August 31st, anyone with a library card can pick up a Summer Reading Challenge log from the Thompson Public Library for the chance to win some prizes. All ages are welcomed and encouraged to join.

Only books from the Library or Libby counts towards the challenge. Once logs are complete on both the front and the back, they can be dropped off with a name and age of the child clearly printed at the Library. Please do not email or facebook message logs.

Each child will get a paper flower pot to put on the window and a paper flower that represents the 20 books read. Each log equals one flower.

Three winners will be announced when the reading challenge is over.

The St. James Anglican Church on 10 Caribou Road will be hosting a LAMP Vacation Bible School for children ages 5 to 12 from July 8th to July 12th.

The school is free, will run from 9am to 12 noon and will consist of bible stories, crafts, songs, snacks and lots of fun! Children younger or with special needs who wish to attend must be accmpanied by a parent.
