The Northern Health Region will be holding a series Seasonal Flu and Covid-19 immunization clinics between October 23rd and November 2nd. The clinics will be walk-in with no appointments necessary. Be sure to wear a short sleeved shirt and bring your provincial health card. Do not present if you are ill.

The University College of the North is offering Emergency and Standard First Aid courses.
The Emergency First Aid courses will help those attending learn skills such as CPR/AED, obstructed airway procedures for adult, children and infant emergencies, and recognizing and responding to respiratory and circulatory emergencies such as asthma, allergic reactions, heart attacks, strokes and bleeding. The Standard First Aid courses contains all the content of the Emergency First Aid course and additionally teaches in-depth understanding of first aid such as how to treat head/neck injuries, soft tissue and musco-skeletal injuries and medical emergencies.
The courses will run October 28th or December 3rd for the Emergency First Aid and October 28th and October 29th or December 3rd and December 4th for the Standard First Aid. All classes are from 9am- 4:30pm at the UCN Campus. The Emergency First Aid course cost is $150 plus $7.50 GST per person and the Standard First Aid courses costs $243 plus $12.15 GST per personn. Deadlines to register and make payments are October 11th, and November 19th.
Tuition must be paid in order for seats to be held. Refunds will be issued if course is cancelled or if the student wishes to withdraw so long as a withdrawl form is submitted to UCN within 10 business days prior to the first day of class.
