The University College of the North is partnering up with the Canadian Mental Health Association to offer a Mental Health First Aid course for any adults 18 and older who wish to join. The program is intended to help teach people how to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health problems as well as how to provide help and guide them towards appropriate professional help.
Classes will run November 5th and 6th from 9am- 5pm at the UCN Campus, Room 316A on the third floor. Tuition is $209 plus $10.45 GST) per seat. Deadline to register and make payments is October 29th by 3pm.
Tuition must be paid in order for seats to be held. Refunds will be issued if course is cancelled or if the student wishes to withdraw so long as a withdrawl form is submitted to UCN within 10 business days prior to the first day of class.
