November is Diabetes Month.
To help bring greater understanding to this condition, the Thompson Seniors Community Resource Council has invited the NRHA to host ‘A Gathering for Diabetes’.
There will be some educational materials, a chance to check your feet and blood sugar levels, a snack and more.
The diabetes clinic is being held in the multi-purpose room at Ma-Mow-We-Tak Friendship Centre from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, November 25.
Call ahead to register at 204-677-0987.
November is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and The Women's Resource Centre is inviting you to participate in their annual Take Back The Night March on November 25th.
They are seeking support from the community to help bring awareness to the continued fight for women's safety. Participants are asked to meet at Pioneer Square and the march down Main Street will begin at 5:15pm.
Violence against women and children exists in everyday life within all societies and it impacts entire communities.
