The Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO) is looking for students from SCO member Nations who are pursuing post-secondary education that leads to a career in health care.

If you can use funding to help you pursue your post-secondary education, consider applying for our Health Care Career Awards. You can receive up to $3000 in financial support!

This funding is open to students attending recognized post-secondary institutions in Manitoba in any health-related discipline.

Sam Waller Museum Playroom Open for Flin Flon Evacuees

From 10:00AM to 5:00PM

Notice for The City Of Flin Flon Evacuees

The Sam Waller Museum extends a warm welcome to families who have been evacuated from Flin Flon. During this time, we invite you to make use of our playroom, which is open and free of charge.

While standard admission fees still apply for access to the full museum, the playroom is available at no cost and provides a comfortable, engaging space for children to play and unwind.

We hope this space can offer a bit of ease and enjoyment for families navigating a challenging situation. Please don’t hesitate to drop by.

2025 Depression Walk

From 12:00PM to 2:00PM

Come and join Vale, USW Local 6166 and other local organizations for this community-wide Defeat Depression Walk on Friday, May 30th, from 12 pm to 2 pm. The walk will start at the TRCC and end at the Steel Workers Center with a free hot dog BBQ.

 

Whether you’re a business, non-profit, school or community group, you are welcome to walk, promote your organization and stand together for mental health awareness. This is a great opportunity to show support, connect with the community and help raise funds for local mental health initiatives.

 

Organizations are encouraged to register a team to walk, run or bike the 4.4 km route. For more information or to confirm your organization’s participation, please contact:
